Berlin has plenty of rooms for startup people. Most of them come with a stage, a sponsor and someone collecting LinkedIn profiles at the door. We've been to enough of them.

So we're setting a table instead. Backyard is a small dinner club for the people who actually run startups in this city. Product, growth, sales, ops, engineering, finance. Mostly tech, sometimes not. Mostly in our twenties, though nobody checks.

You come as yourself. Your employer stays at the office. Nobody pitches, nobody hires, nobody gets hired. Founders and C-level, we like you, and you have your own rooms.

We invite people ourselves. Never more than three from one company, because a table full of colleagues is a meeting. There are no fees and no sponsors, and there won't be. We started this and we're members like everyone else.

What gets said at the table stays there.
